A Hiking We Will Go!
Well graduation was last weekend and unfortunately we didn't make it. Apperently we couldn't get home once we got to Boston, so we had to scrap the whole trip. Instead however, we took the kids to St. George and to Zion National Park and had a GREAT trip.
Dancie! Dance!
Dance is over for the year. It is a little weird. Really nothing should be ending yet, because it is still freezing so it feels like we should be still dancing and going to school, but alas it is all over. The girls were amazing. Cora wasn't watching the teachers, she was watching the girls and copying what they did, and for some odd reason she walked to the front of the stage, did a little dance and then joined the others. It was hilarious. And Cait was beautiful as always.

Our own little flock.
**Sadness. One of the Chicks died on Mothers Day. Cora took her out before church and we didn't know and it was so cold. Poor things, both Cora and the chick. Cora was devastated.
*** Oh another huge sadness. Today, June 7, Zoee killed all but one chicken. Dave put alot of work into closing off the garden and just finished cleaning out the coop in the back last night. He let them out this morning and left Zoee outside aswell. She climbed under the gate and killed them. I am having a really hard time forgiving Zoee today. Everytime I look at her I want to kick her and tell her to go away. I am jsut feeling really sad for those poor chicks today.
On another note. Dawson started T-Ball a few weeks ago, but Tuesday was his first game. He is so cute when he plays, but is scared as usual. He will get out and play but he is afraid of moving from his designated spot. Like he is going to get in trouble if he moves. He'll figure it out soon though and it is fun to watch, the kids are hilarious.

If you can zoom in, check out his tongue. He is always sticking his tongue out when he is concentrating, or embarrassed. It's so darn cute!

I Am So Proud
The day finally came. My Sweets is the Newest Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her special day came and went way too fast. It took forever getting here but once school was out Friday it was all a blur after that. She had a great birthday party. We went Luau style. There were lei's and flower clips, hula skirts and the limbo, Hawaiian Haystacks and beach cupcake. All in all it was a great party. I never did get a picture of the whole bunch, but they had a great time.
She also got spoiled on the present scene. Her friends nailed her likes to a tee, and her long awaited American Girl Doll Kanani finally arrived in her hands (it's been in the house for over a month).
It was a ton of fun, but man was I tired when I finally rolled into bed around mid-night. Unfortunately I still couldn't sleep because I was too darn worried about cooking the meat and getting it done in time for lunch after the baptism. I was up at 5:30 putting the meat in the cookers, then I read through the recipe just to make sure it was going to be done. The darn recipe said it only needed to cook for 2 hours!!!! Yikes!!! Oh well, it was so tender and sooooo yummy. It was worth the loss of sleep I guess.
The baptism was an amazing experience. She looked beautiful. Literally like an angel. I was so proud of her and she was so excited. She really knew why she was getting baptized and the importance of it. Her little spirit was glowing. I wish I knew how to write how amazing it was, but like my testimony in church today, it wouldn't make sense, just a jumbled mess. But the important thing is that she was ready and excited to become a member of the church. It was really special all the way around.
Lucky her, she was baptized on her birthday so she got really spoiled Saturday as well. So many people love her it was a little overwhelming. Thank you cards are definitely on their way. I am so grateful for everyone that supported not only Cait, but me as well. My family and friends helped out in so many ways. It was stressful but not chaotic because of all the help we received. Thank you EVERYONE!.
Cait, We love you so much and we are so grateful you were sent by our Heavenly Father to bless our home and family. Your sweet spirit radiates where ever you go. Never loose that light.
