Dance & Friends

Prima Ballerina oh and Jazz dancer too.

We went to Orem today for a get together with my school roommates (Holly and Jeanine). We have been out of school for 8 years and still get together once or twice a year. We did miss Steph today, but other wise we had a great time. We just talked and caught up, while the kids played in the water. It was great fun. I love that I still have close friends like them. They are all great and a huge support when I need them. So thank you and I love you guys.

Back row: Cait, Carter, Abby. Middle Row: Dawson, Jayden, Taylor. Front: Justin. This pic is missing: Cora, Halley, Dallin and Easton.

Get ready, Get Set, Blast off.

Are they boys or are they monkey's? I guess we will never know.

Shirley Temple, Anyone?

My mother-in-law thinks that Cait looks like Shirley Temple, well here you go. She is dancing at the Arts Festival today and needs curly hair, so I put the sponge curlers in her hair last night, and walla this is what came of it. She has always had a little curl in her hair, but I didn't expect this kind of curl. Her hair reaches under her armpits when it is straight, that's a lot of curl.

HUH????

So I was about to tell you all about the sleep out we had yesterday, but while I was loading pictures I found quite the surprise--My husband in the crib????? HUH???
I'll tell you about the sleep out too. I had promised the kids that we would set up the tent so that they could use their new camp beds. Of course they needed mommy or daddy, because they both kept coming in and telling us they were scared but we were watching a movie (I know bad parenting). Well Buddy was so tired he threw a fit so we just sent him to his bed and when the movie was over, Cait and I went out to sleep. I slept on Buddy's bed which wasn't too bad, at least I wasn't flat on a rock or something. But in the middle of the night sometime, Cait came over and stole my bed, okay we shared, but I couldn't get comfortable after that. Overall, it was pretty fun.

He's Three

I didn't have time to post Buddy's birthday yesterday and my mom and I stayed up until 3 a.m. talking. So, it has taken me all day to get this posted. We had a really great time yesterday. Dawson had his first birthday party with his friends from the neighborhood. We ate, built cardboard box cars and had a run through the swamp obstacle course. The boys loved it. We then went to the Gateway so that my sis could buy Buddy his build-a-bear (she does that when the nieces and nephews turn 3). He was not to into that. He was really excited about the turtle at first, but then he didn't want anything, he refused to choose, so we just got the turtle. What he was thrilled about was the NASCAR outfit we put on him, he even named him McQueen. All was great fun and he loves all the great things he received for his birthday. Thank you to all his friends that came to celebrate his day. I can't believe my boy is growing up. I don't remember a lot of the little details with Bud and I feel really bad that he grew up without me taking notice too often. I hope I can be better at that. I love my little guy too much for words. Now enjoy the pics.
"Where is everyone, MOM? I can't wait any longer"
On your mark, get set, go!!!!
I got a little off the course, where do I go?
I'm too hot for my own good.

Cora by Anna

I am so happy. Anna from Indie Art Photog, took Cora's pics a while ago and brought me the CD yesterday. I was so happy :D. So I messed with one on Photoshop and thought that I would share. Anna does an amazing job, THANK YOU.

More of our Hike

I just have to post this video. Sorry about the end, I was trying to get Dawson to look at me.

Happy Birthday, David!

It's my hubby's birthday today. I won't divulge his age, but he's older than me. We had a great day today. We started off with breakfast and than took Princess P and Kellie's suggestion of going to see the water falls up Middle Canyon. Kellie and Matt tried to explain, but we couldn't figure it out and didn't want to hike all over the place so we found a trail and took off. We hiked up hill for about 2 hours. Yeah with little ones that was not so great. Dawson was pooped about half way, my shoulders were killing me from carrying Cora in the front carrier and we were hungry. However, we were determined to get where we were going. A nice lady had told us of this hike with an old mine at the end and darn it we wanted to see it. So we kept going and Dawson kept crying and then Cait started into the whining and I was tired, I think Dave was still the only one that was determined. We kept going and walla we were there. A huge snow bank and a beautiful stream ended our nice hike. Dave found the mine and he and Cait took a tour. Finally we were on our way back down. I carried Dawson the whole way down and realized then that the reason his feet were hurting was because his shoes were too small (they grow like wild fire). And when we finally made it to the car the chillens were out like lights and I was about to fall apart. Dave loved it though and he was all that mattered today. I bought him a GPS that unfortunately didn't have a signal until we were almost to the top, but once it did get one it was kindof fun to play with. It doesn't have any good maps on it yet. I am afraid that it will just get thrown to the side and forgotten. Oh well.

But Happy Birthday, Love. You are the greatest and I hope that you had a wonderful day and that you didn't get too much of my pampering because I have to do it again tomorrow for Father's Day. I LOVE you so much!!

I just need to share

I was thinking that I didn't write down when Cora actually got up on her hands and knees to crawl. It was Sunday, just in case you were curious. I have a calender that has stickers for big milestones for Cait and Daws, but not for Miss Belle. Therefore, the blog is my little calender. She will be one next month, can you believe it? She went to a well child checkup yesterday and is fit as a fiddle, except for the cold of course. She gained back the pound she lost (17 lbs 12 oz) and she is still 27 inches. She is pretty average, but the Dr. didn't make sense when he was telling me her %'s. I guess we will see next well child. She is also actively pulling herself up and making a mess. She pulled out all of the wipes yesterday, and was loving it. She growls when you take something away or if she wants something and you won't give it to her. I love my Miss Belle, just so you know.

I've been Busy!!!

I have wanted to paint my living room since we moved into this house. I have pleaded and pleaded and done everything I could think of to get David to let me paint that room. Well, now we are throwing the idea around about selling our house and buying a new one. So now that we are leaving I got to paint my living room. I think that is just not fair. But anyway. I didn't have my nephew today so I sent my children to my mother-in-laws house for the past two days. I was up with David at 5:30 yesterday morning to get on with the project. I pretty much painted nonstop from 5:30a.m to 9 p.m. I got all the walls painted and only one small wall needed the second coat. So I got up not quit so early this morning and finished. It is now 3:50 p.m. and I just finished putting the room back together. I was a little worried about the tan color on the wall because it looked really yellow at first, but now I really like it. I know you can't fully enjoy the beauty of it unless you had seen my living room before, but trust me it is leaps and bounds better than before.

Okay in the pictures it looks really yellow, but it doesn't in person.
