HELLO AGAIN
So it's been two weeks, how ya all doing? We have been busy, if that's a surprise the way our summer has gone. Lots of driving back and forth from Davis County, family reunions rescheduled the day before, crafting, school shopping, online shopping (which I so prefer), and alot of cleaning. I have some pics to post but I don't want to right now, so I will do it later. Just thought I would let you all know that I am still alive and not avoiding blogging. Have a good weekend.

Happy Anniversary To Us
Yesterday was our Anniversary. 8 Years we have been married now. And what a ride. We have graduated from school, had three babies, made a half a dozen moves, bought a house, were called to the bishopric, started a masters program, and countless other fun adventures. I can't believe it sometimes that Dave actually married me. When I first met him he was dating my roommate at Snow College and he didn't like me. He then graduated from Snow and moved on while I still had a year left. Near the end of the year, I was debating on which school to move on to and I couldn't let go that I was supposed to go to SUU. When I went to register I told my mom, while we were standing in the student center, that my husband was at this school and I knew it. I was then invited to work for the school newspaper and I needed to be there a week early. I opted to be a photographer and was waiting in the hall for my subject to come out when a very familiar face came toward me. He knew he recognized me when I stood up and said hello, but he couldn't remember my name until I introduced myself to his friend. It wasn't long after that that we were tricked into dating by a mutual friend. Actually not much tricking on my part, I knew I wanted to date him right away. So we dated, had a lot of fun, and got married a year later. So now it has been eight happy years and we are ready for more.
So yesterday for our day, we went to the Sweet Candy Factory. I was a little disappointed only because no one was making any candy. I wanted to see it in motion, but our tour guide said we probably caught the tour at the end of a shift, stinks but it would have been great if the machines were working. If you ever decide to go, go in the morning, she said the machines are always running in the morning.
We then came home, played with Dave's new cell phone, and went to The Proposal. Hilarious date night movie. Dave really enjoyed it too. Then we went to Sostanza, We were not expecting what we got. Very nice, fine dining finally in Tooele. Somewhere you can go on a date night with your husband, without the blare of families every where, and actually get something besides chicken or a burger. Super yummy, stake is what I got, Dave wasn't too hungry so he got the Tempura appetizer. Not cheap though if you are looking for an inexpensive place, my stake was $24 and Dave's appetizer was $12. So worth it though and I am glad we went. I really hope it stays for a long time, Tooele needs this.

Feeling Sentimental
We needed a kid in the car break on our way home from a baptism yesterday, so we stopped at the scenic pull off at the Great Salt Lake. I'm sorry to all you mothers, your kids just don't match up to how "Damn cute, my kids are."
This is my favorite, toothless, pic of Cait.

And the sun was setting which made for a beautiful picture.

Potty update
I haven't changed a poopy diaper in three days!!!! Cora has not had one poopy accident. She has been tooting on the toilet for months and finally figured it out yesterday what happens if you push a little harder. YEA!!!! She stayed dry for nearly 5 hours yesterday, before I put a diaper back on to go to SLC. And today, I put panties on her and she went straight to the toilet and pooped again. Lets hope she keeps going!!!!!

The Truth Shall Set You Free!
I got this from a facebook friend and had to share it here. Enjoy all you fabulous Mother's.
"Do you know what you and I are?" she demanded.
Before I could answer,,, and I didn't really have one handy, she blurted out the reason for her
1969 BYU Campus Education week. By Marvel Crookston, Instructor

A few months ago, when I was picking up the children at school, another Mother I know well rushed
up to me. Emily was fuming with indignation.
"Do you know what you and I are?" she demanded.
Before I could answer,,, and I didn't really have one handy, she blurted out the reason for her
question. It seemed she had just returned from renewing her driver's license at the County Clerk's
office. Asked by the woman recorder to state her occupation, Emily had hesitated, uncertain how
to classify herself.
"What I mean," explained the recorder, "is, do you have a job or are you just a ...?"
"Of course I have a job," snapped Emily. I'm a Mother."
The recorder smiled indulgently, then she wrote; "Occupation: Housewife."
"Oh no," protested Emily, "I'd rather be listed as a Mother."
"We can't list 'Mother' as an occupation. 'Housewife' covers it," said the recorder emphatically.
I forgot all about her story until one day I found myself in the same situation, this time at the Town
Hall. The clerk was obviously a career woman, poised, efficient, and possessed of a high sounding
title like "Official Interrogator" or "Town Registrar."
"And what is your occupation?" she probed.
What made me say it, I do not know; the words simply popped out.
"I'm a Research Associate in the Field of Child Development and Human Relations."
The clerk paused, ball point pen frozen in mid-air, and looked up as though she had not heard right.
I repeated the title slowly, emphasizing the most significant words. Then I stared with wonder as my
pompous pronouncement was written in bold, black ink on the official questionnaire.
"Might I ask," said the clerk with a new interest, "just what you do in your field?"
Coolly, without a trace of fluster in my voice, I heard myself reply;
"I have a continuing program of research (what Mother doesn't) in the laboratory and in the field.
(Normally I would have said indoors and out.) I'm working for my Masters (the whole darned family)
and already have four credits (all my daughters). Of course this job is one of the most demanding
in the Humanities (any Mothers disagree?), and I often work 14 hours a day. (24 hours would be
more like it.) But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers and the rewards are
in satisfaction rather than just money."
There was an increasing note of respect in the clerk's voice as she completed the form, stood up,
and personally ushered me to the door.
As I drove into our driveway, buoyed up by my glamorous career, I was greeted by my "lab
assistants"--- ages 1 1/2, 3, and 7. Upstairs I could hear our new experimental model, six months in
the child development program, testing out a new vocal pattern.
I felt triumphant. I had scored a beat on bureaucracy....and I had gone down on the official records
as someone distinguished and indispensable to mankind, rather than just another.....
Home! What a glorious career!.... Especially when there's a title!

Miss Belle is 2
Yesterday was Miss Belle's Birthday. I can't believe she is two? We had great amounts of fun yesterday. We went to the zoo (way to hot for that but we did it anyway), then we went and played in the GSL. You could have taken a bath in there it was so hot, not refreshing at all, plus the flies were horrible. Cora played for a minute but then got splashed in the face and got salt water in her eye and was not happy after that. Then we came home, showered, had dinner and opened presents. Yea for birthday's!
Miss Belle "stwimming"
She was so excited for her cake. She blew the candles out all by herself.
She got a Wheely Bug and she was so excited to get it. Once she got the paper off and saw what it was she started jumping up and down and yelling "bug bug". So cute.
