TV cords and Jerks

I am going to copy my cousin here and whine and complain about my day, and rude people.
So many times if I go anywhere people are just flat out rude to me. I could even call someone on the phone that doesn't know me, can't see me and they are still rude to me. Like today, I had to call a pharmacy in SLC to fill a prescription because no where in Tooele had it. I simply asked the tech if they had what I needed. He proceeded very rudely to tell me that I needed more info before he could answer my question. So I told him what I knew and he still growled at me that he needed more info. So I tell my husband and he calls the same pharmacy and talks to the same guy, armed with the same info that I had and a kind of a guess about what he needed. The same jerk was perfectly nice to him and answered his question without a problem. I don't get it? I was nice, I wasn't pushy, I didn't get upset when he couldn't answer my question and was rude to me I just said thank you and hung up. Why did he have to be a jerk?
And this isn't the only time people are rude to me. I have had other women say rude things to my husband about me while I am standing right there. I have had people get mad at me at the grocery store for asking a seemlessly harmless question. I have had so called friends leave me out when I was in the same area, I was just a phone call away. I am tired of people being rude to me. I am not a rude person, I feel like I actually go out of my way to be nice and people are still jerks to me.
I don't know what I am doing wrong and why so many people feel like it is okay to be rude to me. I am tired of it.......AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH (that was a really loud scream).
Oh and I am just irritated about my TV cord if you are wondering about the title. I want to rearrange but I can't because of my stupid TV cord!

First Day o' school, First Day o' School!!!

It is here, Hip hip hooray!!! It wasn't so hard for me to ship four kids off to school today. It was actually kind of fun. Dawson did great, didn't even look back as I left, and Cait always does good so I wasn't worried about her. Tim looked a little scared and Evan has text books this year. Super fun. I should have gotten a pic of Evan and Tim for their
mom, but I didn't. Oh well I do have a pic of my kiddo's. I should have cut out the mop that is Cora, but then again that is Cora so what can I do?
Saturday we took a trip to the top of the mountain to see this.
How intimidating.
And Sunday we played in this.

SO darn cute

Most of you know Alicia, but I don't know if most of you know that she now has an ETSY shop. Go check it out. Super cute stuff. Little Miss Botique

And to Natalie, Cami and Tawna, I have been thinking about my Pay it Forward post (clear back in March) and I am having a hard time coming up with something to make, so will you please give me an idea of what you would like so that I can get on that before life gets to crazy over the next couple of weeks. Thanks that would be great.

Last days of summer

WOOHOO! AAAAHH.... I can't decide which emotion to have. Summer is almost over, school is around the bend and I will go overnight from a mother/aunt of 5 kids to only 1. What am I going to do with 2 free hours a day, and no house keepers. My house has been fairly clean this summer (okay good weeks and bad), so what am I going to do if I have to do it myself again? OH well I guess I will survive. Soccer has arrived, dance starts in two weeks, School for David starts in two weeks, oy what am I going to do, go crazy I am sure. Well here are a few pics of our life the last days of summer.
(The pictures start at yesterday and end at last Sunday. I didn't want to bother with putting them in order.)
Mud Fight!!! The kids loved it.
I am officially a soccer mom. Cait loved her first day of soccer. I don't think she will quit any time soon.

Fun at the Zoo again. We went Saturday and it was really cold and rainy. Best time to be at the zoo I say.

What's more American than baseball? Nothing I say. America's best sport by far. And Bugs we can argue that all day.

HELLO AGAIN

So it's been two weeks, how ya all doing? We have been busy, if that's a surprise the way our summer has gone. Lots of driving back and forth from Davis County, family reunions rescheduled the day before, crafting, school shopping, online shopping (which I so prefer), and alot of cleaning. I have some pics to post but I don't want to right now, so I will do it later. Just thought I would let you all know that I am still alive and not avoiding blogging. Have a good weekend.

Happy Anniversary To Us

Yesterday was our Anniversary. 8 Years we have been married now. And what a ride. We have graduated from school, had three babies, made a half a dozen moves, bought a house, were called to the bishopric, started a masters program, and countless other fun adventures. I can't believe it sometimes that Dave actually married me. When I first met him he was dating my roommate at Snow College and he didn't like me. He then graduated from Snow and moved on while I still had a year left. Near the end of the year, I was debating on which school to move on to and I couldn't let go that I was supposed to go to SUU. When I went to register I told my mom, while we were standing in the student center, that my husband was at this school and I knew it. I was then invited to work for the school newspaper and I needed to be there a week early. I opted to be a photographer and was waiting in the hall for my subject to come out when a very familiar face came toward me. He knew he recognized me when I stood up and said hello, but he couldn't remember my name until I introduced myself to his friend. It wasn't long after that that we were tricked into dating by a mutual friend. Actually not much tricking on my part, I knew I wanted to date him right away. So we dated, had a lot of fun, and got married a year later. So now it has been eight happy years and we are ready for more.
So yesterday for our day, we went to the Sweet Candy Factory. I was a little disappointed only because no one was making any candy. I wanted to see it in motion, but our tour guide said we probably caught the tour at the end of a shift, stinks but it would have been great if the machines were working. If you ever decide to go, go in the morning, she said the machines are always running in the morning.
We then came home, played with Dave's new cell phone, and went to The Proposal. Hilarious date night movie. Dave really enjoyed it too. Then we went to Sostanza, We were not expecting what we got. Very nice, fine dining finally in Tooele. Somewhere you can go on a date night with your husband, without the blare of families every where, and actually get something besides chicken or a burger. Super yummy, stake is what I got, Dave wasn't too hungry so he got the Tempura appetizer. Not cheap though if you are looking for an inexpensive place, my stake was $24 and Dave's appetizer was $12. So worth it though and I am glad we went. I really hope it stays for a long time, Tooele needs this.

Feeling Sentimental

We needed a kid in the car break on our way home from a baptism yesterday, so we stopped at the scenic pull off at the Great Salt Lake. I'm sorry to all you mothers, your kids just don't match up to how "Damn cute, my kids are."
This is my favorite, toothless, pic of Cait.

And the sun was setting which made for a beautiful picture.
