This weekend my papa turned the big 6-0! It's a little weird. But we had a great time with my family and I hope gramps had a happy day.

Oh it was so cute!
This morning while getting ready for school the subject of earrings came up between Cora and I. So I suggested she ask daddy if she could get her ears pierced. I figured he would say no because he was so against Cait getting hers done. But, he said sure and so after school we went to Walmart and now Little Miss has cute Minnie Mouse earrings. I love it and I think she looks so sweet.
Before the shock.
After the shock. She was so stunned she didn't say anything for a minute. She looked like she was about to cry, but held her own and did very well.
Once she saw herself in the mirror she was fully recovered. She is so excited to show Caitlin. It will be super cute when big sister gets home.
Christmas was AWESOME!
We had a really great Christmas. Of course it came and went way too fast. The kids were spoiled and so was I (and David too, he just won't admit it).
Cora's favorite toy, Willa. I thought she would only kind of like this Fijit but she loves it.
My favorite picture of the morning. I know you can't tell what is in that box, but Cait knew exactly what it was just looking at the end. It was another American Girl doll. Marie-Grace is her name and she is very cute. And Cait loves her.
Dawson wanted army guys for Christmas, so that is what he got. He got the base and two packages of soldiers.

Zoo Lights
We were supposed to go ice skating last night but daddy couldn't go with us, so we hit Zoo Lights instead (much easier with just me and the three kiddo's). I think the kids had a good time. It was really cold and there were far too many teenagers there. I honestly think they were on a field trip at 7 pm cause I heard an older guy tell them that their parents would have to come get them. Who takes kids on a field trip at night? Lame! And teenagers are rude. There were all these little kids that wanted to look at the tigers and the older teenagers would just step right in front of the littles.
Anyway, We had fun. There were still a few animals to see, like this little owl. It was asleep and Dawson was totally miffed because it is supposed to be nocturnal so why wasn't it awake?
So here a few pics just for pics sake.

Oh Christmas Tree!
We have had a bit of fun this last week with our Christmas Advent Calendar. I will give you the low down of activities through my experiments with my new toy.
Monday: Cait's Piano Recital. I didn't take one of her playing because I was doing a video, but this works.
Tuesday: My nephew Evan's band recital. He looks so cheery doesn't he?
Wednesday: We wrapped presents that the kids are giving to each other.
Thursday: We read the story of Hansel and Gretel and then made our own little yummy house.
Friday: We went to see the lights at Temple Square. I really enjoyed using my camera here. I was able to get nice pictures of the lights that I have never been able to capture before.

Happy November
Holy Cow! It has almost been a month since I posted last. Even I am starting to get sick of seeing the same old post! So sorry about the absence. There just really hasn't been much to blog about.
But now I have some pictures to share and a few stories, so here's to posting.
I Love this picture of Cora! David put makeup on the girls last week and then they had a fashion show. They both looked super cute, but this is the only picture that turned out. I love the way her eyes shine.
Zoee turned two last week. We love our puppy so much we made her a cake fit for any dog. It had, jerky, ham, cheese, tuna, and chocolate. I know, I know, chocolate is bad for dogs and she doesn't even really like it, but when David tells a story about Zoee to the kids, it always involves Chocolate. She was in such a hurry to eat all the doggy goodness that the candle caught her hair on fire. Just for a brief second, but still very hilarious.
We celebrated Thanksgiving this year at my house. My parents and my grandparents came. It was a really quick dinner and then my parents left (they had been here since Tuesday and my dad was going nuts). My grandparents stuck around to watch a movie with us. It was really nice to have them with us. My grandpa has Alzheimer's and is okay, but not great so we were happy to have him here to celebrate with us. It was a good holiday.
Today, we celebrated the Feast of Fools. It's a holiday David made up to celebrate the day we decorate for Christmas. We really just have more junk food and hang out as a family. It has been a really good day and the house is ready for this special Holiday.
David went outside to take a nap this afternoon, but Dawson found him out on the swing and was bugging him. So he went up on the roof of the garage. And of course if daddy is doing something fun the kids all have to be there.
It has been a great month, but I am super excited for Christmas. I am nearly done with shopping and I can't wait for my family to see what I got for them. Yea! Merry Christmas everyone!

Halloween
We had a great Halloween weekend. It all started with Trunk or Treat Friday, and ended with hours of Trick or Treating Monday. The weather was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It was all so nostalgic to me. Crunchy leaves, crisp air, lots of walking. I loved it. The bigger kids did too, but the littles were done half way through.
I am just grateful that it waited to snow until Tuesday morning.
Mad Scientist Dave at the ward Trunk or Treat.
