March goal update.

What day is it? The end of March, and time for an update. I have to admit that even the thought of updating this month is a little embarrassing, but if I don't I won't keep on keepin' on so here we go anyway.

• Read the Book of Mormon at least once by the end of 2009 (twice would be better, but we have to start small.) I don't think I have even picked up the B or M this month. Yikes!! I still have 9 months to go. Wish me luck for next month
• Attend the Temple at least twice a month. (That may sound easy to some, but for David and I it is really hard, we are horrible Temple attenders.) Woo Hoo! I didn't make it twice but I made it once. Better than nothing I say. Anyone want to plan a temple trip or two for April?
• FHE every Monday. We had one formal FHE this month.
• Make job charts for me and the kids. That goal was completed but hasn't really been implemented. The kids just do what I tell them to do, so I am not so sure about this one anymore as a goal. My job chart, well it's still stuck to the fridge waiting to be followed.
• Get out of bed and do yoga at least 3 times a week. I did really well the first week and a half with exercise, but then everyone started getting sick and then I was sick and life was miserable, so that didn't happen. Oh well I will still be rockin' hot for Boston, Baby!
• Read the Book of Mormon with the kids as part of reading time each night. One word, NOPE. Like I said I don't think I have even opened a B of M all month. Shame on me.
• No computer or TV until the kids are in bed. I still could do better, I only spend a few minutes in the morning and a few in the early afternoon, but not near as bad. And now with all my fave shows on TV that is getting a little, well not happening. I don't suppose Dave will buy me a DVR either so I guess I will have to attack this one again in May or June.
• Spending more time playing, teaching, crafting and all around spending more time with my kids. Had it's good days and it's not so good day's but mostly I feel a bit more attentive, but my house has suffered greatly. I need a balance anyone got any ideas?

So there you go. Many improvements needed, but a few are doing okay. Keep wishin' me luck.

Good Morning Mommy! I made a mess.

This is what I woke up to this morning.Notice the pillow, sheet, wall, face, hands. Gotta love it.

When I went in last night to check on her (new bed and all) she had the marker in her hand and wouldn't let go, even in her sleep, I had to pry it from her little grip. She was even a little proud this morning. She showed me her hands and just smiled. You may ask? Why is there a marker in a babies room? Well she shares the room with Cait's desk, which in turn has Cait's markers and other drawing tools. She got out of bed, found the marker and then went back to bed. Which I am loving. Even if she is crying by the door, when she gets tired she just goes back to bed. My other two I had to pick up off the floor after squeezing through the door. Yea for a smart baby.

A weekend not to be repeated

MISERABLE!!! Sums up the kind of weekend we have had at my house. All of us are sick. We went to my moms Friday and turned around and came home yesterday. Cora has reactive airway problems and she was throwing up this morning. Dawson, had a sudden headache come one Friday night and has had a fever since, and started throwing up last night and hasn't stopped. I am getting whatever it is Cait has, which is just a cough and loss of voice. Dave had this at the beginning of the week so he is over it now. And now my whole house smells. What am I going to do? I hate throw up. Oh well, it will go away, soon I hope. Wish us luck.

PS. I still need one more comment on my GIVEAWAY post. I feel a little rejected that only two people commented and even then it took like a week just to get those two. Who doesn't want free stuff is what I want to know? SO please comment so I can get busy crafting.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Yesterday I turned 29, ugh. I know that's still young but the thought of getting older hit me with this birthday. Oh well I can't turn time around I guess I will just have to get used to the idea that there are only 11 more years until I am 40, double ugh. Anyway, here's a random list of what we did yesterday.
Make hair bows (super cute by the way), take kids to school, go to ObGYN (yea), pick kids up from school, wash car, watch cute kids, break a pinata full of my fave candies, get presents from kids, eat too much coconut, go to store, buy toaster, pick up dinner, eat, blow out candles, Dawson ate candle, have cake and ice cream (Girl Scout thin mint ice cream, yummy), watch AI, go to bed.
All in all, it was a very relaxing day, only sad point, Dave, Cait and Cora didn't feel great so I got to play nurse yesterday too. The only thing that would have made it perfect is if I had slept last night, but I was up every hour to two hours with the sick baby (she was coughing and couldn't stop). I love my birthday's and I loved that I got so much attention from friends and family, sometimes you need a reminder that people really do love you. Thanks All.

WOOP WOOP

I AM GOING TO BOSTON!!! YEA!!!! We finally made the decision and I bought the tickets today. I love my husband. I wanted to go over the Fourth of July weekend, but he thought it would be too busy, so we were looking at other dates. Until he told me he knew how much it meant to be to be there for one of my Fave Holiday's so he told me to just go ahead and book it. SO I did, at 9:55 this morning. I can't wait. We will be gone for 6 days, and we are going to have so much fun. Many may ask? Why Boston? Dave's cousin lives out there so we really only have to pay for the tickets to get there, which rocks. Thanks DER's!!!! We'll see you soon!!
