My fave Christmas tradition is hunting for our tree. We left this morning at 9 a.m. in the frigged weather, with my whole family, to find the perfect tree. We thought at first it was going to be rough because there were just cedar trees in sight. But then we found the jack pot about a half a mile away from the trucks. There were then all the sudden tons to choose from. The one we got we ended up cutting up higher on the trunk so it wasn't so tall. It isn't as tall as ones we've had in the past, it is probably the smallest we've ever had. But beautiful nonetheless and I can't wait until Monday for the Feast of Fools so we can decorate the house and the tree and eat lots of different goodies. So enjoy the picture feast, and then come visit to see the beauty.

That sounds like a fun tradition - we hauled our out of the box and put on the sparklies today- does that count?
Awwww...I think you should have gotten Miss Belle her own Belle-sized tree! How fun!
We set up our tree yesterday too...brought it down from the attic, unbunched the wire branches, and hung the ornaments. It's no substitute for the real thing, but at least it doesn't drip pine sap all over my carpet.
We hunted ours down at The Home Depot. But it's up! Not decorated but at least there's a tree in our house.
We are avid tree hunters too! It is a wonderful tradition. I can't believe Cait has lost a tooth...how grown up!
