Laugh It Up!!

While Bugs and I were talking today, prom got brought up. I laughed and said she should see my prom dress. When I brought it out of my closet, she laughed. I don't blame her it is huge and a little embarrassing now that I think of it. Actually, Dave laughs at me all the time. Tells me I was a big peach poof ball. My defense is this: I lived in Gunnison and the only dress shop in town had huge dresses with lots of ruffles. As you all should know, this is my two way dream. Either I am going to be a princess one day or I will live on a plantation and wear big puffy dresses all day every day. They won't be peach and have a a gazillion ruffles, but they will be huge.

Anyway, once the girls saw it they all had to try it on. I just took a pic of Cait in it. I still love it and it's beautiful. Laugh it up if you want to, but I loved feeling like a princess for a day.

And as you can see I was not the only one that wore such a huge dress. These two lovelies were my best friends in high school and this ad for the dress shop was in the County Fair Magazine.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a pretty princess dress in your closet that you take out and swish around in every once in a while. Why DID swishy dresses go out of style? Maybe we could give them a come-back?

My favorite part about that is when my mom and I came over and you were walking around in your hoop skirt, so you could "practice". Hahaha you're a dork cousin and I love you.

I'm getting old....I'm starting to become quite fond of fluffy, shimmery, shiney, poofy things! I need an overhaul I guess! Lol! I think it's actually quite pretty! My advise to you is to SAVE IT! It's amazing how things come back in style! Maybe in a hundred years.....just kidding. :)
