The Last Apple

I am feeling very sentimental of everything that comes from our home in Tooele. I was prepared for it to sit on the market for months. That would give me time to let go and get used to our new surroundings. Well.... I guess that was just not the plan. We received an offer 4 days after we posted it on the market and it will belong to someone else within 20 days. I am struggling only, oh say, every third hour. I really miss our home. However, I know we did what Heavenly Father wanted us to do. We are where we are supposed to be, whether I like it or not.
This last weekend we were in Tooele to get some stuff and our beautiful apple tree was ready to be picked. Unfortunately, most of the apples had fallen or had been eaten by birds so we only got a small box full. So, Sunday afternoon I made the last apple pie I will ever make using apples from that tree. I was really sad about it. So I kept out the most beautiful apple and took a picture of it, so I can keep just a piece of that apple tree forever.

Now that I am done being sad over an apple I just wanted to share my kids birthday presents with you. Yeah, Yeah, their birthdays were months ago but they just spent their money the other day and all three chose to get a scooter. Cora's scooter has lights in the wheels so I had fun trying to catch those lights at night. I still need a lot of practice with the shutter speed but I thought these pics looked cool.

Where'd she go?

There she goes!
