Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Matthew Korth deserves a big shout out. He called last night and offered tickets to the SL BEES game. David couldn't go because he needed to finish a paper, but I was not about to miss an opportunity to go to a game, so I took my sister and her boys. We had so much fun. Cait was soooo into it, Tim just kept asking questions, and Evan was asking when they could go again. It was just great fun.
These two were so wired. It is a good thing that it is okay to be noisy at a game.
Poor Evan sat next to his mom so he wasn't in on all the action between Cait and Tim. He loved it though.
Cait and Tim chased down Bumble. He seemed to be in a hurry so he was just walking past them. Cait came back over and said, "I touched the bee, mom." She thought that was the coolest thing ever.
So all in all it was great fun, it would have been better if they had won, but they got their behinds kicked. Final score: 12 to 2, Sacramento.
Now no laughing when you watch this video, I was trying to get the kids and Dawn to sing, but the just wouldn't cooperate so you just get to hear me and the rest of the crowd, but mostly me.

What Are We Teaching our Daughter?

David started school again this week and has been very busy :( So he has not had time to mow the lawn. I kept telling him I would do it, but just have not felt like it. So this morning he kind of had that tone of "well I guess I will have to mow the lawn." I took that as a personal jab, so I got to work. But it is not about the mowing the lawn that I am writing about, I told Cait that I was going to go out and mow the lawn and this is what the response was:
Cait: Girls don't mow the lawn?

Me: Girls can mow the lawn if we want to.

Cait: That is a daddy job, you're not supposed to do that, you'll get dirty.

Me: Girls can get dirty, and we do a better job anyway.

Cait: That's just weird?

What is up with that? I suppose that since Cait can remember, I have not mowed the lawn, so it just isn't a girl thing to do. I hope she gets over that.
But a side note to me, I had the front and back lawn mowed, the flower garden weeded and the roses trimmed in less than an hour this morning. Yeah for me.

Fourth Of July!!!!

The Fourth of July is one of my fave holiday's, so I took a bunch of pictures, so please endure to the end. The Gunnison Parade is the best parade in the world. They throw out more candy than you could possibly eat, plus T-shirts, Frisbees, balls, chips, milk Chugs, anything you could think of. We have so much fun and mostly it is the adults that get into the action and not so much the children. It is great fun!!! And yes the is a reindeer!!! One of the dairy farmers owns it. Don't ask me why, but hey, why not? After the festives at the park we saddled up the horse for the first time since dad bought them at Christmas. All of the kids got a turn, except Buddy, of course, he wanted nothing to do with them. And I actually got my picture taken, now I have proof that I was actually involved in a family activity. That is Cait in the top picture, I was too far away. And for sure we had to end the night with fireworks. I think the pics turned out fabulous.

A little bright side to today

If you all remember clear back to Christmas I posted that we had lost my double stroller at the museum :( So for the last 7 months I have been begging, pleading and finally, this morning, came to tears that I wanted another one. Dave didn't and probably still doesn't understand the importance, at least to me, of having a double stroller. However, he does not take the kids any where, I am the one that travels with the children. Anyway, I finally convinced him this morning. I knew exactly what I wanted, but I wanted it hear by Thursday morning. Yeah right, huh? I searched all the normals, Amazon, Ebay, KSL and found what I was looking for, but to get it here I would have to pay bookoo bucks. So instead of settling like I usually do, I Googled what I wanted. Lo and behold I found the best baby gear website ever, strollerdepot.com . The company is in Sandy they have everything you need for your babe and it's free shipping. If you happen to be going into Sandy, you can pick it up for 10% off. They didn't even jack the price of the stroller to cover shipping, it was the same price as, Target, Walmart, and the online stores. So with 10% off I saved money and I get it by Thursday. So what I am really trying to say is, check it out if you need anything baby, it just might save you a few pennies.

By the way this is the stroller that I got, the Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand LX with Parent Tray (parent tray not shown):

Dance & Friends

Prima Ballerina oh and Jazz dancer too.

We went to Orem today for a get together with my school roommates (Holly and Jeanine). We have been out of school for 8 years and still get together once or twice a year. We did miss Steph today, but other wise we had a great time. We just talked and caught up, while the kids played in the water. It was great fun. I love that I still have close friends like them. They are all great and a huge support when I need them. So thank you and I love you guys.

Back row: Cait, Carter, Abby. Middle Row: Dawson, Jayden, Taylor. Front: Justin. This pic is missing: Cora, Halley, Dallin and Easton.

Get ready, Get Set, Blast off.

Are they boys or are they monkey's? I guess we will never know.

Shirley Temple, Anyone?

My mother-in-law thinks that Cait looks like Shirley Temple, well here you go. She is dancing at the Arts Festival today and needs curly hair, so I put the sponge curlers in her hair last night, and walla this is what came of it. She has always had a little curl in her hair, but I didn't expect this kind of curl. Her hair reaches under her armpits when it is straight, that's a lot of curl.

HUH????

So I was about to tell you all about the sleep out we had yesterday, but while I was loading pictures I found quite the surprise--My husband in the crib????? HUH???
I'll tell you about the sleep out too. I had promised the kids that we would set up the tent so that they could use their new camp beds. Of course they needed mommy or daddy, because they both kept coming in and telling us they were scared but we were watching a movie (I know bad parenting). Well Buddy was so tired he threw a fit so we just sent him to his bed and when the movie was over, Cait and I went out to sleep. I slept on Buddy's bed which wasn't too bad, at least I wasn't flat on a rock or something. But in the middle of the night sometime, Cait came over and stole my bed, okay we shared, but I couldn't get comfortable after that. Overall, it was pretty fun.
