It's a Beautiful Day!

There is something to say for my mood when I wake up and find a dozen red roses from my husband. For apparently no reason at all, he came home this morning with them and I found them when I got up to let the dog out. I was giddy and then I cried a little bit, it was just what I needed. Thanks Dave, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
And then I was blessed even more with the beauty of the earth. I love the rain! I especially love the rain when trees are blooming and everything is green. I LOVE SPRING! And I am feeling a bit sentimental today. I am pretty sure this is the last spring we will be spending at this home. I love our yard in the Spring, Summer and the first part of Fall. It is so beautiful and leaving it just makes me really sad.

It was far too quiet

You know you should check on your baby when it's been too quiet for too long. Well this is what I found when it happened today.I guess she couldn't find any clean spoons.

Our weekend!

In reference to my last post I went to my parents over the weekend. It was very nice to get away even for just 24 hours. And it was so beautiful and the kids were having a great time outside so I took a few pics.
While the kids were playing outside, I got crafty and made my girls some cute pillow case dresses. Super easy and it only took about an hour if not less for each dress. Caits made it very easy to dress in a hall at the dance competition. No going over the head and no sleeves so I could put her top on without taking the dress off. I say every dancer needs one. I didn't take a pic of Cait in hers just Miss Belle, but they look the same just opposite (the trim on Cora's is the bulk of Caits and the trim on Cait's is the bulk of Cora's).We had to leave my mom's early on Saturday because Cait had a dance comp in Taylorsville. She looked super cute (I need bigger curlers though) and the costumes were bearable. I have seen the girls do better, but overall it wasn't horrible. Just made for a super long day.
And last but not least. I did laundry at my moms (HE washing machine), and I found these objects in my pants pocket. I say I am a true mother when you find random things like these in your pocket.

I needed a break!

I had to have a break this week. My weekend is loaded and I had to have a clean house before the weekend "just in case" someone came to check out the house. What is a girl to do? I mean if I didn't get a break I was going to break and run over anyone in my way. Well round about 10 this morning my mom called and was joking that I needed to make a 2 hour drive to her house just so that her other grand children had someone to play with since they were all spending the night at her house. I realized she was joking but I really didn't care, I made a deal with my husband that I would clean the whole house, besides the kitchen, and then I could leave to my moms, stay for 24 hours and drive the two hours home just in time to make it to Cait's dance completion in Taylorsville. What was I thinking? Well after I was given the okay to go, I was much happier, got the house clean in less than an hour and then drove two hours just to sit and watch kids play. A break is a break I say, even if it is two hours away. And I also did my husband a favor by making the deal, less than an hour after I left the Realtor called and said someone was coming between 5 and 6. Great everything is clean minus the kitchen and that is just enough for Dave to do. Life is so much better right now than it was 4 hours ago.

What a day!

So, my time as a bishopric's wife has come to an end! How do I feel about it? Not sure? When we were informed Dave was being released I was extremely happy, the next day not so much. It felt weird and a feeling of what's next keeps running through my head. I was almost 25 when Dave was called, I haven't known anything else for 5 1/2 years. It is going to take me a while to get used to him being home on Sunday's and not sitting alone during sacrament meeting and having him during Sunday school and all the other niceties that come with having my husband back. I know he will miss serving our great ward, and having an affect on the lives of the people he presided over. He was a great counselor, and did what he could to serve everyone. I am grateful for his service and I know there were many lives touched by his spirit. Life will resume I know but it is going to be quite the change. My condolences.. I mean congrats go out to the new bishopric and their wife's.

Changing the subject, Cora is a handful. One minute I hear her say, "I need to potty," the next I hear pee. And what do I see, Cora peeing in the family room into her Easter Bucket. Luckily it was empty of all candy or other things, but still what was she thinking?

Easter!

I am just going to post some pics of our Easter Sunday basket hunt and retrieval. The kids hunted forever. The Easter Bunny hid them well this year.We colored eggs on Saturday night. I actually almost forgot that we needed to do that little tradition. And then the color packet I bought didn't have the color in it so we had to use food coloring which I actually loved and will do from now on.

I was sick!

Okay this post was started on the 29th and I am just now getting to it (April 6, 2010). Forgive me please.
I had strep throat. The most miserable two days of my life. Holy cow. My poor kiddo's. I had no idea strep was that bad. I couldn't move, talk, swallow, nothing. I felt so bad for David because he needed to sleep but I couldn't get up to keep the kids quiet. It was truly awful. Plus I missed out on my families Easter Party and my cousin's homecoming. But because I finally gave in and went to the insta-care we were able to go to Dave's family Easter Party. Which was super fun and a nice break from the couch.

Compare and Share!

Run, Run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the candy snatcher! (That in no way was meant to ryhm. So don't laugh).

I decided to have BBQ today for dinner. Well while I was trying to start the BBQ it kindof blew up in my face. I wasn't sure if anything was damaged until I smelled the awful smell of burning hair. Okay it wasn't burning but my bangs and eyebrows were singed pretty bad. I say oh well, I still have my face.
And Cait started soccer again today. She loves it. I wanted her not to like it. I didn't want another activity to have to run around to, but I can't help what the girl loves.
