I was looking for a little more traditional Advent Calendar, but when I saw this I was hooked. I was trying to think of a way to add a surprise to a magnet board. Then I was reading a magazine yesterday and the article suggested sticking an activity to do as a family in the advent calender instead of a treat (you know candy gets crazy at Christmas). So that is what I am doing. I figured that the magnets could easily hold up a little slip of paper and it will be fun to have something festive to do every day until Christmas day. I made my list of fun things to do today like: ice skating, making cookies and gifts and ginger bread houses, and things like going to parties and roasting marshmallows by the fire. I am so excited. It is going to be so dang fun and a great tradition to start. Yea!
