Halloween 2012 was OKAY. I wasn't feeling great. The first offer on our home had just fallen through, so I was a little depressed. But, I tried really hard not to ruin it for the kids. We went to Dave's work first, where we always get tons of candy and then we went trick or treating. Lots of walking but the kids, especially Cait, loved it. Cait ended up filling her bag to the top. She went out with friends after we had already been out.
We added an extra day of Halloween when we went to Gunnison to have our party. We tried doing it carnival style this year. Instead of walking around with the kids to the games, we just let them go on their own which was super fun for adults and kids alike. My booth was a picture booth (obviously), but we also had a fortune teller (David), ring toss, pin the wing on the bat, football toss, and one or two more that I can't remember. Super fun and everyone but Grandma and Grandpa dressed up.
We were really late starting the festivities so we used trucks and the swather (hay cutter for those that don't know what that is) for lights. I really like the way the lights made this pic look. Plus the little girl is super cute.
These two ALWAYS dress up. This year is very mild compared to earlier years. Ken's shirt says "I've dressed up like an idiot for the past 13 years to make my wife SUPER happy!" And trust me, he has dressed like an idiot but, it makes all the parties SUPER fun. Wendy is preggers so her shirt fits her perfectly.
Look, do you see something strange? It's me! I am never in the pictures. I handed the camera to my sis and managed to make an appearance in front of the lens this time.
The whole crazy crew.
