Update on goals

I only need a few sentences for this post. I pretty much bombed every goal. It took all month to get my recommend signed so I didn't make it to the temple. I did make a job chart for myself. I didn't follow it but I made it. We only had FHE once, and I only did yoga maybe a total of 5 times (which I am feeling the affects of not doing it). I haven't made it very far in the BofM. Two things I was better on was the computer time and spending more quality time with the kids. Oh well that's why I have a full year to accomplish my goals. Wish me luck for March.

I'm a Little Slow

It was a very busy end of the week last week. First, as you all know Cydi passed away on Wednesday night. When Dave left to go visit her, I cried until he got back and then cried some more when he got home and then cried some more Thursday morning. I will miss that sweet lady greatly, even though I know she is better off.

On Thursday my sister and I were able to take our furling to the Draper Temple. Which I must admit I was a little disappointed about. The last time I went to a Temple open house (Timpanogas) we had a personal tour and got to learn about what we were seeing (which is beneficial for those that have never been through the temple, to learn a little bit about it). And they had plastic on the floor instead of wearing shoe covers, so it was very loud and trying to explain the temple to the little ones in a very noisy Temple was a little distracting. It was a beautiful Temple, I loved everything about the Temple it's self just not the tour.

Then Friday, the family showed up. My parents brought my two nieces and one of my nephews to play. My sis-in-law was so cute and made a cute little slumber party bag for the girls. Fully loaded with jammies, candy, finger nail polish and the classic slumber party movie, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. There ended up being my other nephews here and alot of Xbox playing, but it was great fun for all.
Her are the girls from the left: Meg, Caitlin, and Senora. They are my only two nieces on my side (and they are sisters), we have a lot of boys in my family.
And Saturday, Dawn had a house warming party. She didn't have one when she moved in so she had one for being there a year. My whole family came up, we played at the park with the furling, had a BBQ, played games and had S'Mores. Super lots of fun. Only problem was my husband was gone at work all weekend and I was alone.

Sunday was horrible (okay just the first half). Every kid and I mean every kid in nursery was screaming. And I don't know about you, but when kids cry for too long I want to just cry. So I was a little emotionally worn out after church. Luckily David got home shortly after and I was given a little reprieve and a shoulder to cry on.

So all in all it was a very emotional and busy end of the week. Lets hope this one is a little less stressful. Oh wait it will be Dave has most of the week off from school and there is nothing else to do.

More Proof

I have more proof that I have the greatest husband in the world. This morning he had just left for work, I mean probably not even out of the driveway when he called.
"Rascal Flatts will be in town on the 26th."
"I know, that's today."
"No it's not, oh wait yeah it is. Do you want to go? Get online and see if you can still get tickets."
"But I can't I am going to the temple open house today."
"I can't either I've got homework, but if I had known I would have gotten you tickets."
It may seem small to all of you, but to me that was as good as having the tickets to go to the concert. He knows I love the band and was willing to spend the money so that I could go. AAAAAH. I love my hubby. Just thinking about that today makes me smile and realize he is "SIMPLY THE BEST"

From the past

I am trying to clear my cell phone of all the pics that I actually want to keep (I am getting a new phone tomorrow). And I laughed and kindof smiled at some of the pics so I thought I would share.
Little Cait's first day at dance. Isn't she adorable. She was just 3.
Remember that huge lip. The pic was taken the day she had a steroid shot put in it. It double in size from even that after the shot and now is barely noticeable.
Cait asleep in a shopping cart at Costco. She wasn't quite 3 yet.
These two are of my baby Buddy. I don't have a lot of pics of him, being he was one when we got our first digital camera. So I just smiled to see these pics again. Love them

Laugh It Up!!

While Bugs and I were talking today, prom got brought up. I laughed and said she should see my prom dress. When I brought it out of my closet, she laughed. I don't blame her it is huge and a little embarrassing now that I think of it. Actually, Dave laughs at me all the time. Tells me I was a big peach poof ball. My defense is this: I lived in Gunnison and the only dress shop in town had huge dresses with lots of ruffles. As you all should know, this is my two way dream. Either I am going to be a princess one day or I will live on a plantation and wear big puffy dresses all day every day. They won't be peach and have a a gazillion ruffles, but they will be huge.

Anyway, once the girls saw it they all had to try it on. I just took a pic of Cait in it. I still love it and it's beautiful. Laugh it up if you want to, but I loved feeling like a princess for a day.

And as you can see I was not the only one that wore such a huge dress. These two lovelies were my best friends in high school and this ad for the dress shop was in the County Fair Magazine.

I am so SPOILED!

One of my very fave holiday's is today, V-day. Since our first V-day, it has always been great. Surprise after surprise. This year, I took the girls to a doc appointment in SLC (yesterday) and while I was out my husband was sneaking behind my back. He even called and put on a show about being mad at the dog to throw me off. When I got home, figuring I would have to calm him down, I walked in and instantly our song started to play (When We Dance by Sting. It was playing our first V-day when he told me he loved me. AAAAH). He had the living room all set up for a candle light dinner (yummy) It was so nice. He surprises me like this all the time and year after year I have fallen for it. After dinner we saw one of the worst movies ever (He's just not that into you, don't go see it if you haven't already. The previews look better than the movie actually is). This morning I got up early and made the kids candy lea's, they look thrilled in the pic I know, but they had just woken up and they are not really morning people. And for the rest of today, we went gemstone hunting and this is what we found. It's a periwinkle Sapphire. I LOVE it. We went to many places. We even went to one that tried to sell us a $10,000 tanzinite. Yeah we have that kind for money just laying around, HA HA. Here's the story if you wonder why I would pick out such a necklace. When we had been married for about 2 1/2 years he bought me my first solitaire gemstone (an aquamarine, my birthstone) and since then he has bought me one every year so now I have seven. And when I am old and gray and we have been married for 60 some on years I will have 60 some on solitaire pendants in all colors and varieties, even a diamond and eventually that $10,000 tanzinite.
I LOVE my hubby and really, I am the luckiest gal in the world. He spoils me rotten and loves me all the more for it. What would I do without my Love?
