My kiddo's were so cute this morning in their little uniforms. I am sure that the blue, white and yellow will get old, but for today they were cute. They were so excited last night. Cait to the point of not sleeping. I will guarantee you that when she gets home she will complain about being tired. Poor thing. Anyway, super cute and they seem to have great teachers. I am just glad I don't have to be the pickup mom. Cait is still not home and last I heard Bugs was #500 so there was no getting home anytime soon.

I was hungry!

So have you ever been to this little diner in Green River, Wyoming? If not you so should go. I'ts name is Penny's Diner. I had a huge craving for their great food last night around 9:30 so I decided to make the 3 and 1/2 hour drive to get a burger. When I got there I thought, I'm awake enough I'll make the 3 and 1/2 hour drive home no problem. It was great, you wouldn't regret a trip out there! SYKE! I did not drive out there for food, I didn't even eat once we got there. My poor soon to be brother in law was coming home from picking up his son from Kansas and his car broke down in Green River. So, being the good sister that I am, road with my sister out there to pick him up. We dropped my kids off at the Mother in laws and then headed that direction. The drive there wasn't so bad, the drive back, I slept most of the way and had my caffeine high sister drive back. Surprisingly sleeping from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. I am not feeling too tired. Ask me again around 1 or 2 and I won't answer cuz I am sure I will be sleeping. :)

What a week
I have had a crappy/good week. It all started Monday on a good note. The kiddo's and I went to the zoo with some good friends and had a blast. I really love days at the zoo that are cool and
very few people. Who ever thought to go to the zoo as a Mid -summer time activity is NUTS! So much more fun when it's cool outside. Oh and the kids were great too.
Before the zoo was swimming lessons. This is Cora the way she looks the entire time. She can't help herself she always has to be bobbing up and down in the water. She's part fish.
My Favorite picture of the whole day.
Up there above Dawson's head is the King Vulture. The only animal Dawson asked to see that day.
Tuesday was one of those crappy/good days. It started out with a phone call that our stove would be here in 30-40 minutes. Great, except my kitchen and laundry room are a mess. So I started to clean and BAM! There goes my back. And it was only about 5 minutes later that the stove showed up, not 30!
Oh well I will never see the hot Polynesian that delivered my stove again so he can make fun of my messy kitchen all he wants. I love my stove in case you were wondering. It is beautiful and has five burners and a griddle! I LOVE IT!

This is a perfect example of what I did all week. Dang Back!
Wednesday, I made a trip to the chiropractor. Ow! It hurt but helped at the same time. He said it wasn't really my spine that was out it was my muscles spasming. So he signed me up for a visit the next day including a massage. Yea! That was a first for me and it was great, until I went to stand up and then it hurt worse than it did when I went it. The doc said it was just making my muscles spasm again and it did calm back down and not hurt so bad.
Thursday, after my apt and Cait's piano lesson's which she is doing great at by the way, we went to Kaysville to get my nieces for a sleepover. Five little girls is a handful! They had so much fun but man they are needy. I want this, can I have that, but I want what she has! It was a blast though. We watched Princess and the Frog and went to bed late.
Friday, swimming with the girlies! Great fun and Miss Cait swam the width of the swimming pool all by her self. David was glowing with pride and Cait was exhausted. She was rewarded with a Wimsy Pet and took a really good nap. I had a blast playing with Cora. She is such a fish and was under the water more than she was above the surface. We would both go under and she thought it was great she could see me through the goggles. She even giggled under water which was funny. Poor Buddy was mad though, he stayed in Kaysville and didn't get to go swimming, so we are going to have to go this week again. I'm not complaining.
Saturday, I was not about to stick around home trying to keep quiet on a Saturday, so the kids and I went shopping and playing yesterday. We needed to find some school shoes. No luck at the Gateway. Every shoe Cait liked was not in her size. Very frustrating. But they had fun playing in the fountain, so that works. We also went to Liberty Park and played in the water there.
We weren't there for long cause we needed to get a move on, but it was fun. We did finally find shoes at Target, but we had to go clear to Centerville to do that. We came home with swollen feet and very hungry! Pizza solved the hunger problem and kicking my feet up solved the other problem.
Crazy Kiddo's
The only picture I got of all three of them playing in the fountain and the water was off for the moment!

I actually pulled this picture from a video I took on accident. I didn't realize my camera was on video, so I Googled how to get a still shot from a video. So easy and there you go!
And I was so excited. I won another blog give away. I won a Scrabble Tile pendant :). Okay it's a little bigger than a Scrabble tile but still it made me smile!
So it wasn't a horrible week. We had fun and had life issues so I can't complain too much.

Slug o' derby!
Our weekend consisted of a family reunion and the demolition derby. Both were really fun. Some emotional times but mostly great.Dave's family is really great to be around and we had a lot of fun. Bunko was hilarious. We women play it every year at our girls night out, but this was the first time that the men and kids had played. It was a sight. I didn't win anything it is sad to say. My feelings weren't too hurt though, the last time I played at the girls night out I won six times. However, those that won more than once got to share and I brought home a really cute frame with a saying on it. Dave won the gift he took which made him really happy, fishing lures, go figure?
We spent the night in his sister's back yard. Not to bad except that our air mattress went flat and there was a lighting storm at around 6 a.m. We didn't go to bed until 12:30 a.m. including the kids, so waking up after 6 hours of sleep made for a really long day.

This is the only picture I got of the reunion (I lost my camera and had to use my cell phone). Doesn't this slug look like something out of a night mare? My little nephew found it and said "come look at the big worm." Everyone loved it and Dave wanted to keep it as a pet. No thank you!
We decided to take the kiddo's to the demolition derby last night. This is where it got emotional. We left Layton yesterday after two hours of swimming so our kids were starving. We got home just in time to throw a bowl of cereal on the table and run to the derby. Cora didn't eat her cereal so she was still hungry and apparently thirsty. So before the derby started I got her a drink, well that meant four trips to the bathroom, one of which was to the men's room with David which was really gross I guess. We also made three trips to the concession stand trying to keep everyone happy for 5 hours. We were all tired and grumpy and that made for a fun but really emotional derby. Still it was a great show and the two older kids loved it.

Dawson was on cloud nine. Just the thing he wanted to see. Cars running into each other just for fun.

Do you see that white car mid picture? That car was on top of another car. The kids loved that. We also saw a small car thrown in the air during the figure eight race and land right back on it's wheels. WA Hoo! Great fun!

Another Crafty!
I am on a roll I know, but here is another one. My nephew is being baptized tomorrow and needs a little tot for his brand new scriptures. So here he goes. Only thing I don't like about it is the fact that the handle ended up upside down. Oh well, he won't care, at least I don't think he will :-s

We Call Her Sweets For a Reason

I had the best morning today. All three of my children ended up in bed with me. Cait was the first followed by Cora then Dawson. It was crowded yes, but I felt completely loved and so blessed to have wonderful children. Little did I know it was only going to get better. Around 7:30 Cait crawled over me and Cora and left the bedroom. The next thing I hear is cupboards opening and the dishwasher banging around. I thought nothing was weird, she was just hungry, but I was not about to get out of bed. And then there was a huge crash. I jumped out of bed so fast. She had dropped a glass in the sink. Nothing broken but she was upset because she wanted me to stay in bed. She was making me breakfast in bed, and the crash had pulled me out. So she sent me back to bed. I sat there for a few minutes and Dawson came in with Zoee. He was telling me that Zoee was scared of the crash too, but he was also warning her that there would be another one. I just laughed at him, but not a minute later there was another crash. Once again I jumped up to find Cait devastated and two bowls of cereal, three pieces of toast and two cups spilled all over the floor. She was trying to pour milk into the cups and set the jug down on the tray which made it fall off the counter. She was so heart broken. She cried and I cried. I felt so bad for her. But I reassured her that it was the thought that counts and the whole thing made my day, and for her troubles she got to have crepes for breakfast, her favorite. I sure do love my Sweets.

I should go to bed!
I took a really long nap today so I am not tired. I am also in need of a birthday present for my mother in law. So I put the two together and took the time to make this.
I got the idea from Noodle Head. I really like how it turned out except for the top corners where I messed up on the way the zipper lays and then I am not sure how I messed up but the inside of the zipper catches on the fabric. SO... I can't decide if I will keep this one and make another one for the MIL or just give her this one and wish her luck?
